On being an emotional being
Processing emotions is the biggest skill one can have. Allowing yourself to feel them is a whole other beast. This is my process right now.
It's both an ugly and beautiful time on our planet right now
It’s a crazy time. I have been sitting with so many mixed emotions and figuring out what I feel about this all. To me it’s bigger than the virus. It’s bigger than our current reality. To me it’s about what we can do not what we can’t do. I felt called to write this. So sending lots of love to you all in such a weird moment in our lives.
What you don't own will own you
Ever feel guilty because you know if others heard you say the things you did sometimes they’d be like wtf really? Like they wouldn’t understand because their life is a lot more “traditional” than yours. Let me say I have grown up with a very broken family home. Not the type of broken you are probably painting in your head, but more emotionally stunted, and the connection (or rather lack thereof) really did a number on all of our healing. I don’t live with a “traditional” family household. Never have. Never will. This post is all about owning that. Being okay with that. Simply knowing this is how my life is supposed to be and it’s 100% okay.
Life is a little bit messy
Have you ever felt so overwhelmed like life needs to be something more than what it is for you? Friends, family, oh especially the parents make you feel as if you need to be doing more? As if you need to be somewhere else? Well l just share my thoughts on all this. How you are the creator of your own timeline. Don’t forget it, but don’t get lazy either :p
